Interesting fact.
Over the past couple hours, first I put a stopwatch against Channel 7 broadcast of 'The Chase' program.
Each commercial break there were between 8 and 11 adverts which used 22 minutes of the hour.
Total 'program runtime' was 38 minutes.
Take out the pointless 'Dramatic' pause/delay time for the answers to the quiz questions, and the unnecesary 'bio' of each nights 'Chaser', a further 5 minutes is wasted on useless banter between the host and the 4 contestants, and that '1 hour program' is actually only 30 minutes airtime of that hour.
The one hour Friday night 7News program at 6pm had a total of 15 and a half minutes of adverts during that hour.
May even be possible to watch Sunday night '60 Minutes' program in a half hour, if they didn't run ads?
